But am I done with love? Not yet, I guess!

BLURB

After a riot of a vacation in Goa, and finding the love of her life in the very handsome Dr Vivian D’ Mello,  Kairavi ‘Kay’ Krishna, a ditzy and dramatic travel journalist, is set for another laugh-a-minute romantic adventure.

Our delicious hero and sassy heroine are very much in love, and are just about to tie the knot when Vivian’s evil twin sister and his hot, leggy ex enter the scene. That, coupled with Vivian’s unexplained commitment phobia, threatens to throw their fairy-tale romance to rocky waters. As Kay struggles with heartbreak and jealous rage, she is faced with an unexpected question: will their love survive the odds? Will they make it or break it?
Done with Love is another delightfully irreverent story by bestselling author Shuchi Singh, who writes on friendship, romance and the world of women.

COVER PAGE

The cover page of the book is very simple. I would say it is'breezy'in shades of light blue, green and beautiful pink hibiscus flowers and the back profile of a girl on a beach.  It very well reflects Kairavi of the story. A very nice and a subtle cover page.

REVIEW

Done with Love by Shuchi Singh was a refreshing and a satisfying read for me. I was very much attracted to the cover page of the book.

Done with Love by Shuchi Singh revolves around Kairavi Krishna, known as ‘Kay’, a travel journalist who has just left her job and is insanely in love with Dr. Vivian de Mello, an orthopedic whom she met on her last vacation in Goa. The couple is set to marry each other but people like Vivian’s sister Jacinta and Vivian’s ex Aisha make it impossible for them to marry. And, in this Kay struggles with the question: will their love survive the odds? Will they make it or break it?

The book took me on a journey of Kay and Vivian written in the first person from the point of view of Kay. It is penned down beautifully in a lucid manner and the words flow beautifully. The plot is intriguing with different elements of fun, romance etc. The narration of the story is fast paced and engaging. The twists in the story are very interesting.

The characterization of the story is very interesting and all the characters are very relatable. Kairavi’s character is very well evolved in the story and I really liked her, especially her Thought Bubble which keeps popping up in the story. I really liked the bond shared by Baani and Kairavi. Other characters like Vivian, Jacinta, Baani, Kapil, Ravi are interesting and realistic.

Overall, Done with Love is a nice, light read filled with love and laughter.I really enjoyed reading it.I would highly recommend it for romance genre fans.
