#BookReview: You Never know by Akash Verma

You Never Know by Akash Verma was published on 18 September 2017 by the leading publishers Penguin Metro Reads an imprint of Penguin Random House. The book is widely available at the online and the offline stores. The cover page of the book is very attractive in shades of red colour and the title of the book beautifully designed in white and shades of red. The cover has an image of a side face of a girl and a small image of a man with a bag. A very nice cover.

You Never Know is a story revolving around Dhruv, who is the branch head of C&M company in Gurgaon and is married to Shalini, a psychiatrist running her own clinic and has two children - Kabir and Siya. On the other hand is Anuradha who joins C&M in the creative team and has a very dark secret about her ex boyfriend Sid. Dhruv meets Anuradha and gets attracted towards her and eventually falls in love with her and even Anuradha reciprocate the feelings because she wants a man to care for her in life. Dhruv hid his extra marital affair from his colleagues and wife and told various lies so that he could be with Anuradha. Though, the dark secrets of Anuradha makes him and his family fall in danger. But, sometimes love can drag you through hell...

You Never Know is a thrilling and a fast paced story written in a very simple and a fluent way. The writing style of the author is really nice and simple. The story is written from the point of view of three characters - Dhruv, Anuradha and Sid and all the characters are very well described and developed and the readers can relate to them. The story has various twists and turns making it very gripping and the thrill is till the end keeping the reader engrossed. The title is very well justified. Overall, a nice, simple and a short read having elements of love and thrill.
I would recommend this book to those who want to read a short story in romance thriller.
