The Highway Man  is the second book by award winning author J. Alchem. It is available in Kindle Format and is a 47 page book. The Highway Man was published on 12 May 2017. The cover page of the book is very simple with the shades of yellow and orange having a picture of a back profile of a man on a highway.The title is written in red colour making the cover attractive.

The Highway Man is a short read. It is a collection of three short stories - Catherine,  Sidzy, for a day and The Highway Man.
The story Catherine deals with a simple, bestselling author Nicholas Sieum who falls in love with someone unexpected and is a patient of Dr. Rusenvelt but something unexpected happens.
The story Sidzy, for a Day is a very sweet story where on the occasion of Women's Day, Sidzy's husband Jihan makes it special for her.
The third story is The Highway Man. This story revolves around Rohan and Ayaan who have a broken family. It is an emotional story, but with the intrusion of a stranger the lives of the father and the son changes.

All the stories are very beautifully penned down in a very simple and an  understandable language. All the stories display different emotions in a very beautiful way making the reader to read more. The stories have a visual impact on the readers mind making it all the way more interesting. The stories makes a person understand to flow with life and accept the reality. It made my realize that true happiness lies in making others happy. The book is a complete package of heartwarming reads having elements of thrill,love, sorrow and happiness. 

Overall, a quick and fast paced read, teaching a lot of life lessons. Highly recommended to those who believe in humanity.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR





J. Alchem is a voracious reader and a critically acclaimed author. He is the winner of StoryMirror- 2015 (a nationwide writing competition), NaNoWriMo-2015 & 2016, and superhero storyteller (2014). He has written in several magazines and newspapers and received the appreciation for the same. His stories have been published in numerous Anthologies such as Blank Space, Love Bytes and Mighty Thoughts.
He is actively involved in writing quotes and short write-ups which are often seen being circulated among the youth in Facebook, Whatsapp, and other Social networking sites. Recently he has signed a contract for a short movie on one of his award-winning short stories.
